More Springtime Fun All Around Texas

It’s Springtime and festival season is well underway in Texas. Here are just a few of the great events happening across the state in the coming weeks:

Jacksonville |  May 14 – 16
As you probably know by now, if it has to do with cowboys and horses, I’m in! That’s why I’ll be returning to Jacksonville for this exciting event! Besides the rodeo, there will be a parade, a chick wagon luncheon, a junior rodeo and kids’ day events. Website  | Facebook 

Tailwind Regional Balloon Fest
Canton |  May 15 & 16
Tailwind Regional Balloon FestHow would you like to soar up, up and away in a beautiful balloon? Or maybe you’d rather keep your feet on the ground and watch others do the soaring. Well, you can do both at the Tailwind Regional Balloon Fest in Canton. Festival De Mayo
Dallas |  May 17
This year, Univision Radio will be hosting its annual Festival De Mayo, the largest free outdoor Hispanic Music Festival in North Texas, at Fair Park in Dallas. Festive music, traditional foods, carnival rides, all add up to a memorable and fun-filled day.  More information.

South Padre Island |  May 21 -24
Believe it or not, Memorial Day is right around the corner, and if you want a really fascinating and fun way to celebrate it, why not head down to beautiful South Padre Island for Fiesta Padre!  The main event here will be the amazing sandcastles, including an authentic replica of the Alamo! There will also be sandcastle lessons, live music, all types of vendors, and many photo ops, so don’t forget your camera!  Website | Facebook

Heart of Texas Air Show
Waco |  June 6 & 7
Festival 3If you are looking for some edge of your seat excitement, then the Heart of Texas Air Show must be on your To Do list! This World class Air Show will feature exciting displays of aerobatics, wing walkers, warbirds in close formation, choppers, and so much more, including the US Air Force Thunderbirds in their first performance in Waco in 23 years! Also on hand will be exhibits, vendors, food, an aviation-themed kids area…the perfect ingredients for a fun-filled family adventure! Website
